A Chinese company claims to have reverse-engineered Skype Voice Over Internet protocols. There are 2 points: 1) The unpatented software used by Skype is not illegal to crack, and thus open the company to Chinese competition; 2) The Chinese government can use the information to block Skype telephony in their country.
