NY Times article about Phil Zimmerman's latest encryption effort, for voice over IP. He had developed PGP (Pretty Good Privacy) encryption for e-mail in the early 1990's, and the feds investigated him for three years, just to be on the safe side, I guess. Now Zimmerman is back with encryption for VOIP, which he considers to be the next big target for the charming folks who currently bring us spyware. He imagines these folks listening in on VOIP conversations of corporations, and stealing millions of dollars, pounds and euros. They have certainly created havoc with spyware...
